I love helping people plan their surprise proposals. It is such and exciting moment in two people’s lives when they are ready for the next big step into bringing their lives together as one. Tristan contacted me from New Jersey a few weeks before his trip to Grand Lake, Colorado. He and his girlfriend were planning a fun trip to get out and enjoy the mountains, just the two of them. Their passion for being outdoors and love of hiking is what brought these two love birds together. So, when he told me he wanted to surprise her by proposing to her in the Rocky Mountains, I set to work to help him find the perfect location based on his ideas he shared with me. There was a lot of communicating and daily emails back and forth to find the perfect location, and that we did.

If you have ever been to Grand Lake or Rocky Mountain National Park, you know that it is widely know and loved for it’s majestic mountain views, and beautiful, wide open valleys. What I found in my search was Coyote Valley Trailhead on the western side of RMNP, just outside of Grand Lake. The proposal went off without a hitch, and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect for this wonderful couple. It was so wonderful to capture this moment in time for Tristan and Eryn, and I feel so lucky that Tristan chose me to document this major milestone in their lives.
