There’s a bit of a funny story to this wedding. I happened to be on this farm waiting for a family for a photo session. While I was there, Janice (Brody’s mom) was on the property looking at the venue for her daughter’s wedding. Brody and Matt were out of state finishing college and was planning to get married that fall at Lone Hawk. Janice took my card, and was later in touch. Well, with hectic school life and moving back to Colorado, Matt and Brody decided to postpone their wedding until the following fall, 2017.
We finally got the opportunity to meet and had an engagement session in Rocky Mountain National Park. These two are so much fun to photograph, and to be around in general. We shared lots of silly moments and tons of laughs during out time together. Getting to know them, I learned that they met at Anderson Farms during Anderson’s major fall festivities. They met around the S’mores campfire, hit it off and the rest was history for them, they knew that they wanted to be together forever.
Fast forward a year after their engagement session, and we are sitting down together planning their big day. This wedding was very touching, Brody had just lost her dad a few months before. Event though their wedding happened and he wasn’t there physically, everyone had him there in their thoughts. Lots of tears were shed in remembrance of him. I cried too.
