My good friend, Candice “Ida Hit Dat” Bahnson is the president of the Boulder County Bombers Roller Derby Team, asked me if I would stop by there Shamrocks and Shenanigans Scrimmage to take a few photos. I wasn’t able to attend the whole event, but here are a few photos I managed to get in the time that I was there. These women are all heart and you can tell that they are extended family, even if they are not related, but they won’t hesitate to block you or knock you out of bounds to keep you from scoring points. If you are looking for a fun sport to get into, roller derby might be for you. These women love every minute of it! I’m glad I got the opportunity to take a few photos and watch the scrimmage, I’m slowly starting to understand how it works, and even though I don’t know much about it, it’s a lot of fun to watch!
