I’ve always known there is help for the homeless and working poor, but I’ve never known how much support there really is, until I witnessed it first hand. On October 3rd at the Rembrandt Yard Art Gallery, located in Boulder, I got to experience the community coming together to help out those in need. I was absolutely impressed to see so many people come together for such a great cause. I saw people willing to donate large mounts of money, I saw specialty items raffled off from local business like New Belgium Brewing, Audi Boulder and Walters and Hogsett Fine Jewelers to name a few, and silent auction items were auctioned off throughout the event. All the proceeds are to help Boulder’s homeless and working poor. This was such a great opportunity to meet so many people that make a difference in our community, and to listen to some of the stories of the working poor that have been homeless for years, and are getting back on their feet all because of Bridge House. This non-profit organization is amazing! They have several volunteers and staff members that are willing to jump in both feet first to help the people in our community that need our help. This was a very impressive event, I’m grateful that I got to experience it.

This gentleman shared his success story with us. It was a very touching story, and brought tears to my eyes.
